Samantha Jones - Teacher, Director, Producer

Over the years Sami has seen all sides of the theatre. Some of her performance highlights include Seussical the Musical, Halo, and West Side Story. Behind the scenes she has been the Stage Manager for The Diary of Anne Frank, and assistant directed Tartuffe (King's University) and The Sound of Music (SCA). She made her directorial debut in 2023 with Newsies (SCA) and recently directed and produced The Little Mermaid at SCA in May. She has been teaching Musical Theatre and Science at SCA since 2020 and absolutely loves it. Her goal is to create a space where teenagers can find community and have fun while learning valuable skills in the arts. She is continually proud of her students.

Leigh Park - Assistant Director, FOH Coordinator

Leigh has been apart of SCA theatre in various roles since 2013! She has organized Front of House, been the volunteer coordinator, and is now the assistant director! Her favorite part of being involved is working with the amazingly talented students, the production team and her director daughter. These kids blow her away with their joy, talent and enthusiasm, and they always give her ‘something to think about.’

Stacey Lavorato - Aesthetics Director

Stacey has loved being a part of SCA's productions over the years, working on and creating sets, props, costumes, hair and graphic design work. She also loves having her boys be a part of this program, watching them fall in love with this art form and thrive in this community. 

Luke Lavorato - Choreographer

Coach Luke has been a part of the SCA Performing Arts team for 5 years and has loved every minute of it. Luke grew up learning to dance from his mother Nancy Lavorato who is a professional Dancer and Choreographer. Luke used to teach both Hip Hop and Bollywood dancing but now focusing all his dancing energy on the SCA team. His favourite parts about being a part of the team are getting to work with his remarkable wife Stacey, getting to see his two children Tony and Oliver light up the stage, working with the incredible leadership team and of course getting to build into the amazing students lives. 

Taylor Fawcett - Music Director

Taylor Fawcett is a versatile singer, theater artist, vocal coach and multi-instrumentalist with experience across a variety of genres. Recent performances include Snout and Bass in A Midsummer Night's Dream; The 70's Musical, Tenor 1 in All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1918, Eddy in Dream, and Mark in The Garden (Rosebud Theatre), Parpignol in La Boheme and Desi in Indians on Vacation (Edmonton Opera), The Lover in Il Tabarro(Pacific Opera Victoria), Tony in West Side Story (Festival Players), Pirelli in Sweeny Todd (Blue Bridge Repertory Theatre), and Canada’s Got Talent! When he is not performing, Taylor takes great pride in teaching a private studio of voice students.
